Jonas. You came, you saw, you conquered…while I drank wine in my house all day. It was nice knowing you, now leave and never come back.
Here’s a glimpse I’m case y’all don’t know what snow looks like 🙂
Just the beginning
Penny LOVED the snow
10pm Saturday night (there is a table there somewhere)
Sunday morning after we shoveled out
Penny, want to Netflix and chill?
It’s true, we made it out alive. The blizzard of 2016 dumped roughly 30 inches of snow throughout the state of Maryland. I wasn’t concerned though because guess what? Its snowed before and it will probably snow again…Wednesday. Danny and I spent 12 hours on the couch with the dogs and Netflix.
We’ve been wanting to watch Prison Break and we got our opportunity. I’m obsessed now! Luckily for us we just found out they are rebooting it so unlike most shows that I become emotionally invested in, I won’t sink into a state of depression when I’m done!
I’m really excited about my Mondays for the rest of the year because I’m linking up with some of my favorite bloggers and chatting about different things throughout the years. I got this idea from Erika
over at A Little Bit of Everything
Today’s topic is “New Years”; our resolutions, goals & what we are looking forward to this year.
On New Years day I posted this picture on Instagram of myself at the gym.
I didn’t want to make it a “New Year, New Me” blah blah blah kind of post. I posted it because I am truly really proud of myself. I’ve been hitting the gym at least 5-6 times a week, not to lose weight but to tone up and feel better physically and emotionally. And I’m going to sit here and tell you, I feel incredible! Stay tuned, I’ll be posting more about my fitness journey and my friend Meghan
is going to make an appearance once in a while to talk about her journey as well!
Thanks Ryyyy. On top of getting back to the gym on a regular basis, I’ve also gone gluten free. Not because I was diagnosed with Celiac’s disease but because I always noticed feeling really groggy and bloaty after eating alot of bread and well… gluteny things. So I decided to try it, and as much as it pains me to watch Danny eating the rolls when we go to Texas Roadhouse, I just feel more alert and have a ton more energy. It’s been alot easier than I expected and I really don’t mind not having the bread. I switched to GF pasta and can’t even tell the difference to be honest. The pizza part is the hardest. I LOVE pizza. In the world these days though, there are plenty of places that offer a gluten free option, it just tends to be a little more pricey. Oh well.
Going back to church more often is also on my list. I’ve always had a relationship with our Lord, but I want to be more present in it. I really enjoy the church I started going to with Danny and his family. I think I stopped going because I was too lazy to get out of bed and it’s just kind of selfish. A fellow blogger that I follow, Shay
, writes about a Daily Devotional that she uses daily that I’ve been considering incorporating into my morning routine. I have been through a lot in the 24 years I’ve been on this Earth, but I truly believe that everything happens for a reason, everything is in God’s plan for us.
I started making my list of races I’m going to do this year and I’m really excited about my first one of the year:
Nashville Rock N’ Roll!
I’m so excited to run in my favorite city! The neat part about the Rock N’ Roll series of half marathons, is that there is a band at every mile. I have done half marathons in Frederick and Baltimore, but I thought it would be fun to travel and do them. Combine my love for traveling and running. Sounds good to me! I’ll probably do the Baltimore Half again in the fall. That is my favorite race I’ve done so far. I have a feeling though Nashville might top it.
Last but certainly not least. One of my favorite things I’m excited over, is my friend Maggie is having a baby! She just announced it last week (even though I already had the insider’s info). She and Jake are just the sweetest couple. They were high school sweethearts, got married last July and now are expanding their family. I could not be more happy for her and I’m so excited to meet the little one in August!
In the spirit of Valentines day, next month I get talk about a pretty special guy in my life.
Have an great Monday!
