Back here on a Monday, really trying to get my act together. The weekend was so relaxing and I felt like I got so much done. I did a thorough clean of the house, replaced the wax in my warmers, so my house just smells and feels clean. And that makes me a happy chick. We weren’t up to much and those are my favorite weekends.
I got home, changed and proceeded to go to the gym and kick my butt. I did interval sprints on the dreadmill, and then did a full chest and shoulder work out. I have ZERO upper body strength so I’m taking it one day at a time but I’m definitely feeling stronger. This week we are supposed to have GORGEOUS weather so I’m looking forward to some long runs finally. The Nashville half is less than 2 months away! Ahhhh.
I got up early and was out the door by 8a to get on the road to see my friend Maggie. She lives in Northern VA, loves Home Goods about as much as I do, so we decided to do a shopping day. Plus I don’t get to see her as often as I would like so it was really nice to have a girls day of shopping to catch up. We shopped, got Panera, and chatted about her baby (due in August).
I picked up these curtains from World Market (sneak peak into my living room renovations…paint gets done this week!!). I had never been to a World Market before but omg I think I fell in love. Do any of you have one close to you? New found love.
I spent the morning cleaning up the house because we were having my family over for dinner. I think I went into crazy cleaning mode because I just kept finding things that may not necessarily have needed cleaning but got cleaned anyway. Like I said above, I cleaned out my warmers and replaced the wintery scents with fresh spring scents. Right now I have a fresh powder scented one from Kohls! There isn’t anything better to me than a clean house. When I was done, we ran around getting a few things crossed off of our “To-Do” list.
Danny spent the rest of the afternoon just like this:

If you missed my post on Friday, I talked about how I’m joining Cait over at Cait’s Cozy Corner during her book club series this month. Hoping I like this one because it’s a part of a series and I’m a sucker for series.
We had my aunt and uncle over for dinner and I made Ree‘s Chicken Mozzarella Pasta and Shay‘s Butterscotch Blondie recipes.

Both delicious and swoon worthy.
What were you up to this weekend? Ready to kick off another week? Btw, how is it March already? How am I going to be 25 in less than a month? Can time slow down for a hot sec?
Questions on questions. Have a good day 🙂
