Happy Friday! I don’t know about you but my week, I feel like, has dragged on and on. Specifically yesterday but I blame that solely on not drinking coffee…who the heck am I?
I have a fun weekend ahead of me! I have a birthday pool party and then I’m rounding out the evening with some girlfriends at a local winery. During the summer, this winery near me has a series of music nights where you can go, bring a picnic and listen to local music. Sounds like a good time to me. I’ve never been so I’m pretty excited to check it out.
I hope you all have fun things planned for the weekend. Now that it’s officially the summer, go out and enjoy it! None of that sitting on the couch business, Get. Out!

Ya’ll, we are HUGE Bachelor/ette fans in our house. We do the brackets. We hate Chad (…well some of us do). We drink wine. We laugh. It’s the one night of the week that Danny, his mom and sister and I get together for two hours of pure quality reality tv time. If you’re familiar with everything surrounding the show, you know that we aren’t the only ones who are obsessed. So is Jimmy Kimmel obviously! Every year he gets a group of toddlers together and has them act out as if they’re on the show, kid appropriate of course. It never ceases to have me rolling on the ground laughing. If you haven’t watched it, you’re seriously missing out.
15 days ago exactly, I started my journey on the 21 Day Fix. I used to be one of those people who would see people promoting this program all over Facebook, and I just assumed it was another one of those pyramid schemes that just lured people in, just for it to not even work.
Let’s back up to January when I was determined to make the resolution to “become healthier”. At this point I had just connected with this girl Meghan through social media, who was a Beachbody coach, but didn’t push me to do anything if I wasn’t interested. Fast forward to today, I’m incredible friends with her! We talk almost daily, and when I finally (on my own) decided to take the leap, she was right there to walk me through every step. She is a constant support system that I need in my journey to my lifestyle goals.
The biggest part of the “Fix” that I love is the portion control that you’re basically forced into. After about a week, it all becomes second nature. Danny doesn’t eat any differently, I do. I make the same dinners, I just either replace one of the unhealthier sides, with a veggie. The Fix isn’t there to make you miserable while “dieting”. It’s there as a starting point to get back on track. The 30 minute workouts push you to new limits that leave you feeling INCREDIBLE after. I’ve never sweat so much in my life!
I can’t wait to see where this takes me. Whether I continue to do the other Fix series workouts, I’m not sure. But I’m glad I gave it a chance. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me and I’ll get you in touch with Meghan. She’s an incredible mentor and friend to guide you every step of the way.
It’s finally summer! As of Monday 🙂 I’m looking forward to spending more time outside, taking the dogs on more walks, eating dinner on our deck, so many things! In about a month we will have been in our house for a year, and we can finally have a summer of absolute relaxation without worrying about moving, and making our house exactly the way we want it. I can’t wait to have friends over to enjoy the place we call home, and continue making great memories.
I hope you all have a great weekend, I have some fun ideas coming up on here. So keep coming around 🙂
